BEIJING, April 22 (INP): As 25th China (Shouguang) Vegetable Expo kicks off, Ghulam Qadir, Trade and Investment Counsellor of Pakistani Embassy stated that Pakistan, China will continue cooperation in technologies, famous rare varieties, and vegetable culture, Gwadar Pro reported.
The Shouguang International Vegetable Science and Technology Expo held in Weifang, Shangdong Province and attracted thousands of local and international visitors.
Chinese Experts and leaders said that Weifang is an important birthplace of Chinese agricultural civilization and a major source of agricultural industrialization.
The total agricultural output value of Weifang is nearly RMB 130 billion, and it has formed four hundred billion level full industry chain clusters of vegetables, livestock and poultry, flowers, and agricultural machinery.
Experts mentioned that the export volume of vegetables and the export value of poultry and meat account for 1/8 and 1/6 of the national total, and the output value of agricultural machinery and equipment accounts for 1/4 of the national total.
They said that Weifang has 909 prefabricated vegetable production and processing enterprises, ranking first in the country with a scale of RMB 100 billion;
Three enterprises have been selected as one of the top 100 prefabricated food enterprises in China, and 36 standards for prefabricated food have been formulated, all ranking first in the province.
Ghulam Qadir, Trade and Investment Counsellor of Pakistani Embassy said that Weifang has several major innovation platforms playing an important role in promoting the transformation of agricultural science and technology achievements and demonstrating advanced models.
“Sincerely hope that everyone can use vegetables as a medium and connect, work hand in hand, comprehensively deepen practical cooperation in multiple fields such as agricultural technology, investment, and trade, and add new momentum to local and international cooperation”, he said
He hopes Weifang and Pakistan will continue cooperation in technologies, famous rare varieties, and vegetable culture as the main display content, this exhibition displayed more than 2,600 vegetable varieties.
This included more than 600 new varieties, more than 80 advanced planting modes, and more than 100 cutting-edge technologies.
