BEIJING, Sept. 27 (INP): Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future (PRCCSF) has been recognized as the best among 20 research centers, established under Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

The center received this prestigious appreciation award in Beijing during the annual meeting of the International Academic Network for a Community with Shared Future.

This meeting brought together leaders from 20 research centers representing over 100 BRI partner countries to foster international cooperation, share experiences, and discuss future strategies, Gwadar Pro reported on Friday.

During their speeches, participants emphasized the need to strengthen academic partnerships and support a shared vision of a harmonious global community.

After receiving the award, Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director of PRCCSF told Gwadar Pro that this marks the fourth consecutive year the center has been recognized as the Outstanding Research Center. “We ranked first in 2021, 2022, 2023, and now again in 2024.

The center has played an instrumental role in enhancing international and regional connectivity across all BRI corridors, including the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC),” he said.

On the occasion of CUC’s 70th anniversary, Professor Li Huailiang, Dean of ICSF at CUC, extended heartfelt thanks to the Pakistan Research Center.

He commended the center for its outstanding achievements in fostering academic exchanges between China and Pakistan, promoting mutual learning among civilizations, and advocating for a community with a shared future since 2020.

Since its inception, the center has organized numerous academic conferences, roundtable discussions, and young scholars’ forums.

It has guided Pakistani scholars to engage actively in international discussions, publish high-quality academic papers, and participate in media interviews, as noted by Professor Li.

“All these efforts have positively contributed to helping Pakistani young scholars and students gain a more comprehensive understanding of the concept of a community with a shared future and a deeper appreciation of China,” he added.

He expressed hope that the center will continue to play a vital role in promoting exchange and mutual learning between China and Pakistan, as well as in the Eurasian region, thereby deepening research cooperation and enhancing regional connectivity.
