- Equipment worth Rs 67 million received from Xinjiang government, Powerchina company
ISLAMABAD – China on Friday sent another package of medical supplies to Pakistan, carrying two tons of two tons of medical equipment to help the Pakistan government fight Coronavirus pandemic.
The supplies arrived at the Pakistan, China border at Khunjrab pass carrying face masks, test kits, ventilators, medical protective clothes worth Rs 67 million.
An official of Chinese Embassy told DiploMag that the equipment consignment was handed over to Pakistan authorities at Khunjerab from where an army helicopter had arrived despite challenging weather conditions.
“Chinese government has been sending its love to Pakistan through sending medical equipment and face masks. This reflects that China, Pakistan friendship is higher than mountains,” the official said.
The official said that the supplies were jointly sent by Xinjiang government and Powerchina company to the people of Pakistan in these testing times.
“Chinese companies are together with Pakistan in fighting Coronavirus. Port Qasim Power Plant (Powerchina) donated to Pakistani government in the fight against COVID-19,” the official added.
