President Rubina Amjad was leading a delegation of the Faisalabad Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FWCCI), when she met with the governor, according to a press release received by WealthPK.

The governor emphasised the significance of empowering women and integrating them into the society’s mainstream economy. He claimed that our women are proving their mettle by working side by side with men in all fields. He said that promoting commercial activity is essential for boosting the economy.

The governor said that women’s chambers were offering employment to thousands of women, adding that they should build relationships with technical education institutes and industry. He stated that representation of women should be increased in every sector and it was very vital to engage them in the decision-making process.

Regarding legislation, the governor said that he had sent back a bill to the Punjab Assembly since it had no female board members. He continued, “I have urged that there needs to be at least one woman on the board. In order to empower and educate women, a consortium has been established in universities.”
