ISLAMABAD, November 21 (INP-WealthPK): Production of bicycles, automobile parts and corrugated pipes has started at the new unit of Bahawalpur Engineering Ltd (BEL) in Faisalabad. It is equipped with the latest technology of production to reduce carbon emissions and waste, and produce high-efficiency products.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the unit in FIEDMC, President of the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI), Dr Khurram Tariq, welcomed the BEL into the industrial estate of Faisalabad and said that, “early colonization of the industrial region is important to revive economic activity and create jobs for the people.”
He also said that FCCI has 8000 members and the opening-up of a new production facility of BEL will be a valuable addition. He lauded the efforts of FIEDMC in developing the new industrial estate and informed the audience that M-3 and Allama Iqbal Industrial Estates have also been developed on modern lines.
He continued by saying that the land prices of production facilities and industrial units in Faisalabad are minimal, offering better investment opportunities for businessmen and industrialists.
He added, “manufacturing parts of automobiles will help Pakistan save precious foreign exchange. We assure full cooperation from the FCCI to the management of the BEL.”
