ISLAMABAD, Nov 22 (INP-WealthPK): Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) Chairman Mamoon Jaffar Tarar stated that the authority is continuing to focus on industry-driven courses to produce a workforce that is easily available for all pertinent industries.

He was speaking at a gathering for the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Pakistan Association of Printing & Graphic Arts Industry (PAPGAI).

Outlining the specifics of the MoU, he said that TEVTA would arrange industry demand-driven courses for the printing and graphic art industry, besides the course location, instructors, and infrastructure. PAPGAI would pay the students Rs10,000 as a stipend for work training, he added.

He further stated that the course will initially be launched as a trial initiative before being expanded.

The Civil Society Human and Institutional Development Programme (CHIP) would provide courses for special young people and find special children ten kilometres around TEVTA institutes. TEVTA would also provide space for a classroom, he added.
