Former Australian legend pacer, Glenn McGrath has revealed his top four teams for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup in India later this year in October.
In an interview with The Times of India (TOI), McGrath expressed his unsurprising inclusion of Australia in the elite quartet.
He pointed out that India, playing on home turf, is expected to be a formidable force. McGrath also lauded England for their impressive cricketing form and acknowledged Pakistan’s strong performance, earning them a spot among the best four teams.
“You wouldn’t be surprised that I’m putting Australia in that four. Obviously, India is playing in their own conditions. England is playing some great cricket and Pakistan is also playing fine. So, they are the best four,” McGrath said.
The ICC World Cup 2023 is slated to take place in India during October and November, featuring a total of 10 participating teams. The tournament is set to kick off on October 5, with the final match scheduled for November 19.
