ISLAMABAD – Chinese Ambassador Mr Yao Jing has hoped that the upcoming review meeting of Financial Action Task Force (FATF) scheduled to be held in October this year would be fruitful for Pakistan.
These views were expressed by Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Yao Jing in a farewell meeting with Dr. Abdul Hafeez Sheikh, Advisor to PM Imran Khan on Finance. He said that issues of mutual interest were discussed between Pakistan and China.
Dr. Abdul Hafeez Sheikh appreciated the services of the outgoing Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing and said that relations between Pakistan and China were strengthened during his tenure. And relations with Pakistan are moving forward in line with the leadership’s vision.
He said that Pakistan and China are friendly and brotherly countries. The two countries continue to have exemplary relations and cooperation in various fields. Cooperation between the two countries for regional development was further strengthened.
On the occasion, Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing said that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a model project for the world.
Yao Jing further said that the Pakistani government has adopted the best strategy during the spread of Corona virus, the world can benefit from the Pakistani experience.
Expressing hope during the meeting, he said that the review meeting of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) would prove to be good for Pakistan.
Finance Advisor Hafeez Sheikh presented an honorary shield to the outgoing Ambassador.
