BEIJING – China Tuesday said it has always opposed wars as a war no matter anywhere in the world will always cause heavy losses to people’s lives and properties, said spokesperson of Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mr Lu Kang on Tuesday.
Lu Kang was addressing the participants of a seminar organized for foreign journalists at China International Press Communication Center, Diplomatic Residential Compound here.
More than seventy journalists from sixty countries around the world attended the seminar.
Lu Kang said the world is now paying attention to the current tensions in the Gulf region.
“We hope the two sides both in us and the Iran exercise restraint. The root cause of the tensions nowadays is the maximum pressure campaign initiated by the US,” he mentioned.
“We also call on Iran to exercise restraint on uranium enrichment and do not further breach the limit of the CPUA. I hope the US will not neglect the consequences of a possible war in Gulf,” he said.
Though it has achieved energy independence, basically, if there is an eventual war, the world economy will be severely undermined, and it will not benefit the US either, he added.
Furthermore, Mr. Lu Kang said CPEC is a mature and exemplary project under our Corporation between Pakistan and China. It has achieved major progress and it aims as connectivity cooperation on infrastructure.
“Through this project, we would like to achieve industrialization and modern agriculture in the area” he maintained.
He concluded that there is a major progress made in infrastructure building, so there has been a major improvement in the necessary conditions to every country such as power supply, transport and logistics.
