Mobile device manufacturing summit to begin in Islamabad on Tuesday

ISLAMABAD, Jan 24 (EW):  A mobile device manufacturing summit will be held in Islamabad on Tuesday, under auspices of Ministry of Industries and Production in collaboration with Pakistan mobile phone manufacturers association.

The summit aims at promoting export of mobile phones and ease of doing business in the country. An exhibition of technology and products will also be held on the occasion by members of the association, including Xiaomi, Realmi, Infinix, Tecno, Itel, Alcatel, G-Five, Oppo, Vivo, and Premier Code.

The exhibition will be opened for targeted general public from 3:00 to 6:00 pm.

The purpose of organizing this summit-cum-exhibition is to get input from all relevant stakeholders to boost local assembly of mobile devices through enhancing investment and employment opportunities in this sector.

The mobile device manufacturing sector is expected to benefit from this summit, as it will facilitate further collaborations with international counterparts, which may enhance competitiveness.
