ISLAMABAD, Dec. 22 (INP): At the National Workshop on Soybean Production in Pakistan organized by FAO, intercropping technology from China and developed in Pakistan according to local conditions by the National Research Center of Intercropping (NRCI) was approved by researchers, officials, industrialists and progressive farmers.
The purpose of the workshop was to make possible solutions for reducing soybean’s import bill of $1 billion by domestically producing 2-2.5 million tons of soybeans.
With the fast growing poultry industry in Pakistan, this import bill of soybean may surge to $1.5 billion by the end of 2030, Gwadar Pro reported on Friday.
