RAMALLAH, June 04 (EW): The Palestinian Authority decided on Monday to suspend all forms of contacts and security coordination with Israel after its security forces raided the West Bank city of Jenin.
Palestinian presidency spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh said that the leadership has decided to stop all contacts and meetings with Israel and continue with halting the security coordination after the Israeli aggression on Jenin.
He added that all understandings and commitments, the authority has recently reached at with Israel in Aqaba and Sharm El-Sheikh meetings no longer exist, Anadolu Agency reported.
The meetings were held on 26 February and 19 March, respectively, to restore peace across the Palestinian territories.
Israeli army raid Jenin
The Israeli military raided Jenin early Monday, including its refugee camp, killing at least 8 Palestinians and wounding about 50 others, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.
Tensions have been intensified across the occupied West Bank in this year amid continued Israeli raids into Palestinian cities and towns.
At least 190 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli military this year, according to the figures released by the Health Ministry. Nearly twenty-five Israelis have also lost their lives in separate attacks.
